The calculation doesn't change, it just has a smaller number assigned to it. If Purdue is worth $100 now and OSU is worth $1000 now, but the two together are worth $2500, then OSU will happily share with Purdue if it means they both get $1250. That doesn't change if it's $1 for Purdue and $10 for OSU. They'll both be sad about not having as much money as they used to, but OSU still shares with Purdue for the extra $2.50 a month.
