The other two years, Gonzaga did not go to the national championship game and the WCC still got as many/more credits as the AAC.

As for revenues, they've gone up for P5 teams -- G5 team revenue is relatively stagnant, other than having to get more state money (like Utah State) so that they can pay the cost of attendance to athletes. In fact, it appears the MWC is now having games streamed on Facebook, as their just is no demand for most of those games. Even the AAC, with their contract with ESPN, they have some only on ESPN3, many pushed to ESPNNews, not to mention the block of games that was sold to CBSSN.

We'll see how the new TV contracts work out for the AAC and MWC (which both will be renegotiated in the next couple of years) but, at this point, things are not looking good. In fact, most of the money made by UConn, Cincy, etc. is running out -- as much of their money from the AAC in the past few years is the exit fees paid by the teams that left the conference and for giving the basketball schools the Big East name.
