Had to get a ticket for the son who decided to accompany my wife. We waited for an hour for someone to show up. So based on that limited experience I'd say about hour is plenty.

I've flown round-trip on Allegiant twice Provo to Mesa. The security check-in can be a little slow, but not bad.
