When we were in a conference, we wanted to play bigger teams more often. We wanted a shot at the big guys.
Now that we have more big guys on the schedule, some want to run back to a G5 conference so we don't have to face as many big boys. I don't understand this way of thinking. Our program, and those that run it, are striving for something greater than "king of the have-nots." We've already climbed that mountain, many times, and have moved on. So what if we lose more games? That's the nature of playing tougher schedules. But at least it provides the opportunity for growth and even greater achievement.
