I'm not sure how this would help recruiting in any way: It just highlights that caffeineted beverages were banned from sales on campus until 2017, which is not exactly 'normal.' It then highlights some of the harder core elements of the Honor code for a non-Mormon of no coffee, no tea, no piercings, no hanging out in rooms of opposite sex, no goaties/beards, no long hair, no sex, no porn, must attend a church. Those are the hard things for a non-Mormon or Jack Mormon to swallow, and those things haven't changed.

Moreoever, there was never a prohibition against drinking caffeinted sodas as part of the honor code, so players drank it whenver they wanted. They just couldn't buy it from BYU.
