I think what Rosey was trying to convey is that BYU wants to slow it down and
develop a half court offense games but realizes that one of the reasons they were a top rebounding team in the country is that teams would drop 4 or 5 guys after the first shot to get back on defense. They want to keep this advantage. BYU wants to continue to push the ball because it helps with rebounding but in the same breath are finally realizing that this causes way too many crappy shots and wasted possessions. They need to find a blend which means the coaches need to do their job in coaching and yanking players who give us bad possessions and the players need to recognize a good shot in transition and when we have numbers. Looking for numbers in transition but realizing when to pull up and reset is a good thing.

Look the coaches are really aware what has gone wrong in the last couple of years. They have ignored it too much in the past because there was some success but last year put EVERY problem front and center because the team was too talented for the results....bad shots, no penetration, clogged middle of the key, no ball movement, no screens...etc. They are aware of all that, no lets just hope they can coach it up.
