Yet opponents missed enough to enable BYU to lead nation in defensive rebounds.
We agree that BYU's defense at #87 in points per possession (PPP) was not good. What i don't understand is why we don't agree that BYU defense would have been even worse had they allowed more offensive rebounds.

The greater overall team decline last year is accounted for in the sharply reduced PPP efficiency in BYU's offense, which coincidentally also finished at #87.
