Laugh.
You'd think we were in a five year slump, without a winning season. Even if this year is bad (which we're only 1/4 of the way through), it says little about "the program" and more about the ups and downs of the game.
Reality: This season has sucked. The offense is bad. We've played 3 currently ranked teams in 3 games. We finished last season with 9 wins. We have not seen a losing season since 2004. We had our best recruiting class since 2010.
That's not polishing a turd, that's recognizing reality. Regardless of whether this season is salvaged, the program is in a good place. Three games don't change the trajectory of the program. Yes, they're painful to watch but every team has bad years, even teams with better talent and better coaches. Notre dame had a 4 win season, just last year. USC had a 7-6 season just a few years ago. Nebraska had a losing season two years ago.
Let's stop with the doomsday "program is a dumpster fire" rhetoric just because we sucked horribly against really good teams.
