In past decades we were ranked often, didn't get steamrolled, and were generally
competitive in our losses.
We built a brand and won a NC by playing in a weaker league. After numerous years in a row winning and winning, we got the benefit of the doubt from the pollster, coaches, and media members. BSU is enjoying this right now (more so under Peterson). If we want to move up, we need to establish a culture of winning again.

Oh please. Tom very recently stated we're already in negotiations for an extension and that both parties want the deal.
