If money and being on ESPN are the sole drivers for indy I guess we could stay indy until our ratings tank to a point where it drives us back to G5, but at that point we've lost any negotiating ability. I'd much rather try to get into the AAC or create a new G5 with the best of the MWC and AAC at least there'd be something to play for I think many fans are tired of these exhibition seasons and trying to fake like we're something we're not. It's all personal opinion, I respect the opinion of those who want to stay indy but I'd prefer conference rivalries to a random schedule every year and a front loaded P5 schedule that demoralizes the fanbase and team every year leaving us to shoot for a winning record and whatever obscure bowl will let us in. I'd argue that we'd have a better chance at relevance with a G5 schedule than continuing the Indy experiment. Our home attendance since going indy should be a good indicator of what Indy has done to fan interest over the course of a season.
