every game just because they love it so much and byu is so awesome. Football beats the crap out of them. They don’t get paid and a lot of them know they have no shot at the nfl. They spend all week in class and doing homework. They’re distracted with dating and family issues.

Some of them might have a hard time bringing energy and focus when they know the game doesn’t really matter for anything other than pride.

Don’t you think the coaches could use a NY6 bowl, conference championship game, or a division rival as extra motivation for a game? If we go 1 and 3 to start the season, don’t you think it would be nice as a coach to tell players they get to start over at 0 and 0 for conference play? Boise’s coach was talking about that exact thing last week.
