Problem is he shouldn't be trying to "figure" it out. Additionally the problem

Additionally the problem  is the personnel are more of a spread O type (I read here QB) and he has struggled to get them to execute the pro set offense.  TM does not do well under center and it is killing our passing game.  Okay, so we make the change (fire Ty) and the guys they have been recruiting get in here and are recruited because they are the pro set type of player, then the next OC tries to run a spread with them and we end up going 1-6 again.  Fire Ty today and bring in the spread OC and cut all the players that Ty and Kalani recruited to run Ty's O and bring in a whole bunch of JC's that have been running the spread and then we can get back to 8-5 or in good years 9-4 or 10+ wins in really good years (when schedule four or less P5 teams).  I think the writing on the wall that Bronco was reading was "how do you compete with the top teams running the same schemes when they get the top talent to run it.  You can't.  You have to become content with finishing below the top level and hope to have a "breakout" year once a decade.  We had 10 win seasons with Bronco because the spread was just taking shape.  I remember announcers making a big deal about the line splits and the "new" spread offense or the air raid offense.  We still didn't win against the P-5 teams a whole lot but we did beat all the conf. teams (our really good years we would go 2-1 vs P5 teams instead of 1-2).

This is not going to be easy but if you want a team that will compete with a schedule that includes LSU, Utah (at this point Utah is in the top level for the PAC12 or at the very least right on the cusp of that level), Mich, Mich St, and that caliber of team then we need to do something different where we can get an advantage.  Otherwise we need to put pressure on Tom H to stop lining up games with those teams.  Let's just stick to the Kansas, Rutgers, and lower P5 teams.  It would mean that if we went undefeated we have no shot at being in the playoff but we get a lot of wins, we get a new years day bowl, and we get to complain how we keep getting left out and its not fair.

My thought it to give Ty his chance.  Let's see what he can do when he has his types of players in the system.  I am sure if we go back to the spread, we are going to have to get used to 8 win seasons being the norm.  I for one don't want that.  I want to leverage Ty's knowledge and experience and see if he can turn us into a top caliber offense.
