Lots of cover 1.  Sneak the strong safety up close to the box to stop the run.  They know BYU will try to run and run and run.  BYU will still get some first downs and some yardage, but the extra man will create big problems for BYU.  You can man X and Z and while they might get a catch here and there, they won't beat you.  ECU is worried about the Y (TE).  Tough match up.  But if they get the chance they will blitz BYU every chance they get and knowing TM is immobile and doesn't make quick reads, this will to a large degree minimize any advantage our above average TE creates.

Offensively, throw the ball all over the field vs BYU defense.  Spread the defense.  With no BYU pass rush and poor secondary technique, they will throw for chunks.

Lengthen the game.  Even if you give up some points by playing to stop the run, you can outscore BYU.  Play fast break football.  BYU can't keep up.

BYU will make some plays.  But not enough to win.  It's likely a close game, but after watching BYU's no show against Miss St, I don't think these guys can beat anyone.
