We're in Newport Beach for the weekend. My wife and I are walking along the beach and see a family playing near the waves as we approach higher up on the beach. When we get closer, we realize they're Ute fans because we see their two boys are wearing Utah hats. After walking about 20-30 yards beyond them, we see a bundle of their belongings, including a bag of snacks, being eaten by a seagull. I could've probably shooed the seagull away with minimal effort, but, having compassion for a hungry seagull, I elected to continue down the beach without intervening.
