Church also discourages birth control of any sort doesn't it? There reaches a point where we begin to see that a huge portion of the members of the Church (at least in the US) do not abide by the "have as many children as you possibly can. Any deviations from this will lead to immediate damnation to the darkest parts of hell" philosophy.
