I'm just providing my insight as someone who generally roots for BYU, but someone who isn't so blinded by fandom to completely ignore facts that don't 100% support my school or make my team somehow look better. Feel free to look at my posting history re: Utah and BYU. I am not afraid to agree with stuff that makes my team or school look bad. I can point to probably half-a-dozen games in the past 2-3 years that Utah would have lost, but for a few favorable calls down the stretch. I can also point to a few games that I think Utah lost because of lousy officiating down the stretch.
Not to mention I was cheering for BYU when they played UW that year. I'm not some bitter UW fan dwelling on a loss from 10 years ago in a 0-12 season that really didn't matter. It just happens to be one of the games being discussed on here that I actually watched and had an opinion on. And I think it's kind of funny when fans of a team/school are incapable of recognizing when they are the beneficiary of a poor call, like it somehow takes something away from their team's accomplishments. I also happen to think that CB has an abnormal number of those types of fans.
FWIW, I love when my team wins because of a bad call. That 2010 Holy War game was one of my favorite games ever because Utah won through a series of complete flukes. There's not much better than winning a game that you feel you probably should have lost.
