Looking around FBS and FCS there aren't a lot of guys that fit the criteria that I would like in an Offensive coordinator. Here is the criteria that I believe we should be looking for:
1. Someone who has been successful
2. Someone who has been an offensive coordinator for 3+ years
3. Someone who is familiar with BYU recruiting areas - Western USA and Texas
4. BYU would be a step up for them - so it would be reasonable they could take the job.
Criteria #2 kicked out a lot of guys. There are a lot of young up and coming Offensive Coordinators in the Western States. But one and two years is not large enough sample size for me.
