Sounds pretty reasonable.
Your argument would have to be that the offenders aren’t really trolling particular posters. I was more sympathetic to that argument before I saw who was most upset by this new feature.
Those who think the feature is unnecessary but who are respectful to others have nothing to worry about and no reason to be upset today.
