putting in to do your best in the classroom, on the field, at church and as a friend. Keep your head up, continue to work hard and do your best. Football does not now and never will define you, you're responsible for who you are and how you treat others. Look for opportunities to unite and lead, show the young guys how it's supposed to be done. Don't ever quit, run through the tape. You'll have a lifetime to look back, so take advantage of every situation.
Continue to heal your badly damaged knee, and when you're off crutches and feel a little better next year, let's schedule the surgery to fix your separated shoulder. Mom and I are so grateful you got through 14 years of football without a head or spinal injury. We can finally exhale.
We're forever proud of you and love you. Thank you for this terrific experience you've allowed us to have with you. You'll forever be a part of BYU football, that's very cool.
...and don't ever, EVER go on Cougarboard.
I guess that's what I'd say if I had a son on the team.
