Airpods aren't noise cancelling. Barely noise isolating. That said, they are awesome (assuming you have an iphone) functionality wise.

If you are looking for true noise-cancelling though, or actually want good music quality, airpods don't fit the bill. Bose Quiet Comfort line is the way to go.
