BYU is probably the best at keeping tabs on missionaries out in the field. And if he's not committed then its easier to keep in contact, communicate and so on (I am in no way an expert on recruiting rules).

We may see some schools back off because of the difficulty it is to communicate with a missionary.

Sounds like good news to me.
