I agree with Chow. Play calling is not problem.

Ty is a much better play caller then most offenses I’ve watched around the state this year. For example I again went to the WSU game like in years past.

Troy Taylor struggles calling plays to what the D is giving him. His play action stuff was a big time head scratcher as was his inability to consistently hit 11 on the post. And get Huntley on the edge more.

Ty calls logical and situationally sound calls.... for the most part. All play callers out think themselves at times but Ty is pretty good. Here are the problems with O.

1. Talent. With Taysom and Jamaal and sub par tight ends the O was great. Minus his lack of taking shots down field at times. But I was very impressed with his first year play calling. The talent dropped off significantly this year at RB, QB. WR’s also have looked lost most of the season.

2. Mangum by all accounts looked great in the pro all off season. Then come week 1..... not so much. Now Ty is redoing all the work he did the off season in season. While game planning. This is hard I have done it at a high school level. Add in injuries and musical chairs at skill positions and you all know the result.
