Always good to see my Cougs win! I'm learning to appreciate wins more but I'm worried that my standards are slipping. My goal for both programs is to be top 40 at all times and top 25 75% of the time with top 15 and higher 10% of the time. We need to get back to the Marriott Center being a place opponents fear.

This game against Niagara may have been a little bit of a trap game. The Alabama game may be the best game outside Zags/SMC. Who knows. I was hoping EB would sit but glad he got loose in the second half.

The silly turnovers need to stop. That I'm sure is a top priority.

We rebounded better tonight. Our guards were leading rebounders but we made it an emphasis of blocking guys out more. Especially against a high paced transition team that requires defensive rebounding to push the ball. We got some good O boards and second chance points. Now, we were bigger than they were so time will tell if that sticks.

Nixon had a rougher night than the past couple but the kid has been fantastic. He is doing great! Let him grow into his role. This is someone who we may have not expected to provide much this year and here he is first big off the bench!

Our guards need to pass out when driving. We got some corner 3s but we should have about 8-10 attempts from the corner each night alone. Seljaas needs to shoot when open. I'd love to see him taking 8-10 shots a night with 6-8 or those from 3. EB is probably our best driver but he doesn't pass out too often. That will hopefully improve.

More 3 attempts is needed overall. We made it a point to pound it inside constantly. I hope that was situational and not an abandonment of the expected slew of 3s we would shoot.

I'm excited for this next couple games. We haven't beaten a quality N conf opponent in a while. Go cougs!!!
