How come BYU volleyball (both men and women), cross-country (both men and women), soccer (both women and men's club), rugby (both men's and women's club), and even women's softball, can be consistently relevant on a national level, despite either being club squads or in the WCC (the exception being men's volleyball in the MPSF), while men's basketball and football continue to struggle?
Frankly, the more I think about it, the more I have to settle on recruiting and coaching.
What thoughts do you have? Am I missing something else?
