I need advice on better speakers for my tv
All I care about is 2 speakers and great sound quality for dialogue (I hate not being able to understand what is being said)
Is there like an inexpensive stereo system? Or is a simple sound bar a better idea?

You’d want a center channel for dialogue. I’d just do a sound bar

Do all sound bars have a center channel? Don’t you need 3.1 or something?

Doesn’t 3.1 just mean 3 regular speakers and 1 bass woofer?

I don’t know what they’re considered, some have a subwoofer and some don’t

I got a sound bar. I did the Vizio one at Sam's club, it was around $140.

Plug in computer speakers to your TVs headphone jack. Problem solved.
