We already got two BYU decommits. Just think of all the players over the years we would have had if not for BYU. Just right now you've got several kids on your team that Utah would have taken. We'd improve, even if only slightly, if BYU becomes USU and Utah gets the top in-state talent and top LDS talent more often.
