I didn't mean it to be harsh, but I doubt anyone on CB has enough understanding
of the BYU AD budget to make the wild assumptions we do.
Some things we do know:
BYU is one of the few schools that runs its AD in the black
BYU pays its faculty and administrators competitive wages in the marketplace
BYU has had legendary coaches and talent with its past budgets that were definitely smaller than today's budgets
Two past presidents of BYU sit on the board and are supporters of the school and its athletics program
When you add up what we do know, it's over-the-top to argue that there is a negative view from "the top" that is simply unwilling to give necessary attention and budget to the football program.
