LOT of company. A bunch of my buddies who have give a lot of money and time over the years feel very similar to the OP. In fact, he really described my feelings to a T. It feels like TFD was let go to save Kalani's job and in turn, Holmoe's job. It makes me sick to my stomach. I had lunch with two buddies today with BS's from BYU and MBA's from BYU (just like me) who have been BYU fans for life and we have several children who are either attending BYU or are BYU grads. Never have any of us felt like this, even in the Crowton years.

The equivalent would be Mark Pope being hired to be the head basketball coach with Jimmer as offensive coach. First year is average and shooting is abysmal the second year and we have a losing season so Pope fires Jimmer.

Kalani may have bought himself one more year by firing TFD but I fear he alienated the fanbase in so doing. Holmoe sits there watching the fire burn. Kalani needs to pull a rabbit out of a hat or he will never earn back those fans. He is a good guy, I think, but this is just the reality of the situation. The OP was not whining, just calling a spade a spade.
