I will concede that he needed to go, but the is much more. The defense was horrible. When you look at advanced stats, the defense was crap. They could not force turnovers and could not get off the field. Several teams took the gas off or they would have scored way more on that defense.
To culture. You are understating this. The culture is a ginormous problem here. I've heard first and second hand the following
1. Major honor code issues involving drugs involving several players.
2. Locker room in a shambles
3. Film session attendance becoming a joke.
4. Little to no accountability for much of anything.
5. Recruits who have decommitted from BYU BECAUSE of these rumored culture problems.
6. In State high school football coaches who say that their recruits have not even been contacted by BYU coaches, and committs that have heard nothing from BYU coaches in months.
If even half of what I've heard is true, the program is in disarray and a new OC will do very little if any good.
And you can check my history. I was all in on Kalani.
