So let me get this straight.
If we would have hired an accomplished FCS OC, the complaint would have been that they don’t have experience “at this level”. Got it.

So now that we apparently hired an accomplished SEC OL coach -a guy who has been coaching at the highest level of the college game for 8 years now- the complaint is that he has no experience as an OC?

Who did we think we’d get? Andy Reid? This is as good as it gets as far as a BYU OC hire. While it may not work out (because these things often don’t work out for lots of reasons), it’s a fantastic move that bodes well for the future in a lot of different ways (not least of which is accountability and recruiting). And no, it’s nothing like hiring Detmer.
