Although he is a prominent member of the Poly community, he does not speak for all of us. The blog is his opinion not the "Voice of Polynesia" that is why it is called Vai's View. I respect Vai as I believe him to be a faithful member of the church and a family man. I will add that Vai is a BYU Cougar that happens to have friends and family at Utah and supports them like any of your would your friends and family chasing their dreams even if it was at a rival school.

Unless you have spoken with him personally and he told you that he hated Bronco Mendenhall and BYU football then don't make one blog article out to be more than it is.
