If you don't like sports where rules arbitrarily enforced by
...a single referee can have a massive impact on the outcome, then I think you'll have a pretty hard time finding a sport that suits you.
As for offside, all I can say is try your hand at competitive soccer sometime and you will quickly see why the rule is the way it is, and how it would utterly destroy the sport if it were changed.
