negotiations are on going
BYU's pursuit of the B12, which we as a collective board are not exactly informed on, but it is my general impression that BYU is not exactly rolling over to get into the B12, which is fine to me , I like Indy. I realize this impression maybe complete conjecture. However there are negotiations going on right now between BYU and multiple conferences according to TH which he has repeated many times in the past week. Anyhow, in the negotiations is the gamble, does BYU make themselves readily available or do they come only if the price is right. The price is going to change as stated in my previous post based on conference restructuring. While true that the chance to go to the B12 may never come no matter what, the chances (the gambling part) are probably higher for BYU to jump to the B12 if BYU gives into all the concessions asked by the B12 that doesn't compromise the religious standards of the church, such as Sunday play. (I am not saying we should do this, I am just pointing out the situation)

Also, turned down is not really a term that we can use. I think the right terms for this would be negotiating price for entry. We know that BYU is in negotiations with the B12 right now as we speak and depending if BYU is making themselves readily available or available upon strict conditions is the gamble.
