I have the ASUS RT-N56U router. I love it. At least I did until recently. I have Time Warner Cable. Every once in a while I get the error from the router, "You have set the wrong dynamic or static IP address for your RT-N56U." Of course I haven't changed anything. I try rebooting the router but usually I have to go unplug both the router and modem. Any idea why this might keep happening? ASUS of course can't reproduce the issue.
