By this point in the season, you guys don't really need my in-depth analysis. The team looked like they were ready to be done with the week, which is why it stayed single digits until the last few minutes, but walked away with a comfortable win.
I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say BYU fans outnumbered SCU fans 2 to 1. All of the top level benches on each sideline and both baselines were ALL BYU fans (except their band). With all four sides filled, I'm also very proud to say I was the one who started the B - Y - U - Cougars around-the-gym chant early in the 2nd half!
I'll need to check the recording of the game for Noah's injury. All we saw was #44 on Noah's shoulders and him going down. I'm SO proud of the guy for coming back in! Kid's got HEART! If ANYBODY had an excuse not to go out and sign autographs, he did, and he was one of the FIRST guys out to address the crowd and sign autographs! (He thought it was pretty cool I had him sign the picture on my phone that he took with my little guy). My boy was SO excited. He's our favorite player this year. Noah stuck around for a LONG time to say hi to folks and sign things. I'm SO impressed with him!
We also happened to pass Nate Austin on his way out to the buses. Got a pic and autograph with him and my family too. I told him I was really psyched for him the next three years. Really gracious, personable kid. As you can see, he had his left shoulder iced, said it'd just been bugging him a bit since Chicago, but really tried to make it sound like nothing much.
I just love this team this year. I'm SO excited for the next few weeks, and for the next few years!
