out Davies, esp when we had upstaged them twice before. The year before was probably our best shot but lost a close one to the rebels on their home court.
The year before we screwed up in the semis against SDSU. Actually make this one our best chance we let get away. That was the year the yewts beat a 7 seed, a 6 seed and then the aforementioned 4 seed SDSU. Talk about getting the road paved for them.
The year before Jimmer was a freshman, so not that much of a factor. We lost to the rebels in the finals, a repeat of the previous year.
That brings us to Rose's first year when we lost to the yewts in our first game of the tourney- dissapointing to be sure.
There were certainly a couple that we could/should have had but I would have to agree with Bengal.
If it's any consolation to you we are tied with UNLV for the most runnerup finishes in MWC tourney history and for all but three years it has been on their home court.
