Look at your last few replies to me.
I just don't appreciate being told what I don't know much about. We've had several conversations in the past about gaming and 3rd party support for next gen consoles, particularly during last year's E3. Then you popped onto that thread and told me I didn't know what I was talking about. Kind of rude.

Now someone brings up an article that he seemed to want to discuss, so when I give my thoughts, I'm told again that I don't know what I'm talking about. If BYUTH wanted to discuss the game, I would have butted out. I don't have a problem with you, and I would prefer to not be ignored, but I don't appreciate the multiple responses telling me I'm ignorant to things I'm not ignorant about. I read IGN articles every day about multiple systems, including ones I don't own and play. But the article looked interesting, and had an interesting premise, but ultimately, I didn't think it was worth the time (partly because it was so long.)

Lastly, please don't tell me I'm wrong when I can quote these points directly from the article:

"Mass Effect has a simple message: human beings are delusional about their importance in the grand scheme of things."

"First, the actions of many major human characters almost always have a subtle undercurrent of petulance or entitlement."

"Second, the lowering of human status diffuses any xenophobic urges a player might have."

"Third, by undermining the player's sense of pride in being human, Mass Effect also opens doors to what would likely be highly controversial discussions were humanity "in charge.""

"The flaw is a simple one: the assumption that life has meaning, that intelligent life has a purpose, and that humanity contributes anything to the universe."

Then he launches into cosmicism, a term invented by science-fictionists to make themselves and their genre seem important. "Instead, the argument is that there is meaning, but it is so far above and beyond human understanding that we can never attain meaningful existence."

Just sayin ... I read the article. I understood it. I didn't agree with it. No one out there is playing video games to ask themselves deep questions about the meaning of life and our purpose in the universe. I highly doubt even the creators intended it.
