I'm going to paint this with a huge brush. Every single girl out of high school has way more guy friends than girl friends. They backstab each other and create way too much drama to have multiple female friends. So they have 3 or 4 close girl friends and the rest are guys. Guys don't hold grudges and can have 10 + close friends w/o problems cause they don't try stirring the drama pot and if someone does they get over it quick.
