You should have seen the looks I got when I met her "guy friends." Most were a couple years younger than I and just going off on their missions.
At a dance, one guy that had feelings for her and I almost got it a fight, because he wouldn't stop "bumping" into she and I during slow dances. I told hime, "One more time, and you're done!"
Problem with having a lot of guy friends is this. A lot of them, all of them good guys, of course, have some "HOPE" for the future with this beauty. They've grown up with her, gone to dances with her.
Then some guy from out of town comes into their base and basically sweeps her away. I can understand their jealousy and frustration. This pure angel of a girl is now off the market. Sorry, she won't be there when you get home from your mission. In fact, she'll have had her first kid.

Took some adjusting for me, too, because I had to meet all these guys. Sparked a bit of frustration on my part, and even some jealousy, seeing how close she was to these guys.
The beauty of it...she was 100% mine, and 17 years later, still is.
Love it!
