You said "if we have a good LDS kid that wants to be at BYU to play football and nothing else...and he can commit to living the honor code, we should be handing him a pen to sign on the dotted line."
I would say that if we have ANY good kid, regardless of religion, who wants to play at BYU and will keep the standards of the University, give him a pen. Also, he has to be good at football. This offer shouldn't extend to any Joe Schmo.
