or lower (especially in a lineup featuring no offense from catcher, ss, 3B, and Vernon Wells) then that's a problem.
Also, the fact that it was his first year doesn't mean much when he was 25. Guys who make the bigs at that age will have some room for growth, but not a lot.
He's a decent player, but just not good enough to justify a team making room for him. He would make a good backup and bat off the bench.
