Just in case you haven't checked the results, here are a few
Since you're talking about how great Texas is, I checked on their OL. They dont have anybody at the combine on the OL so naturally I looked at their rival, Oklahoma. Their OL did a whopping 19 reps on the bench, much worse than Reynolds. Well maybe we can discount him and assume he got his butt kicked against the likes of Texas as you say.

So lets look at the top guard in the draft, Decastro from Stanford. Dang, he did more reps than Reynolds. But he ran a 5.43 40.....and he will be a 1st round pick which is particularly strange in light of your assertion that we should be having our OL practice the 40.

The top center in the draft, the roadgrader from Wisconsin, Konz, only did 18 reps.

So really I dont get why you're hung up on 40 times for OL or even bench press. Neither is the determinant of a good player.
