...to the bus at the beginning of his freshman season, but gradually towards the end of the season began to realize that Ben Murdoch was a horrible PG and that Jimmer actually gave him a better chance to win. Murdoch was a lot like Cusick is but not as good of a shooter as Craig is. Rose felt he was a safer option but soon realized as the season wore on that Ben's inability to hit an open shot and inability to beat anyone off the dribble was a handicap against the cream of the MWC teams like UNLV.

In hindsight it's too bad that Rose didn't just give him the starting PG job right from the get go. He would have had a learning curve for sure but it would have speeded up his awesomeness clock by half a year.
