I like watching the draft process, watching the combines, reading talent evaluations, reading articles or short briefs written by scouts or GM's almost as much as I do watching games. In fact I prefer waatching the NFL draft and the evaluations of each teams draft more than I do watching the Super Bowl.
Scouts use the 10 yard dash and in some cases the 20 yard dash to measure the explosion in an OL because those measurements are far more appliacable to what an OL does than a 40 yard dash ever could be, especially the 10 yard dash. They don't care about the 40 yard dash unless someone is super slow meaning they ran like a 5.8 or 6.0, or super fast meaning they ran say a 4.7.
