The "evidence" is circumstantial for sure. I also just know
what I see. Huge linemen who aren't strong or quick and who don't have good technique.

I see the entire team get killed in the second half of games early in the season. (you shouldn't need the actual season to get the kids in shape).

I see fewer guys going to the NFL and the ones who do, do additional personal workouts. You hear about Austin Collie and all that he did in addition to the program. Pretty impressive.

And, from those few BYU players who are in the NFL now, all say the NFL S&C programs kick your but and that is one of the most significant changes going to the NFL. You don't hear that from Ute players in the NFL as much - although you do hear it some.

I am not a trainer so I don't really know. I am just sharing what I have heard and what I observe that may support the notion.

Maybe Omer is awesome and the kids just don't work hard for some reason. Could be that too. Something more systemic as opposed to just one area or factor like S&C.
