BYU Overcomes Shaky First Half to Beat Aggies

The Wagon Wheel Rivalry is actually gaining some steam the last few season and USU players and fans are beside themselves at how last years game ended. Unfortunately for them they have to come back to Provo to play this season as well and havent won here in like 5 decades.

Keeton proved as a freshman he could play and this game is no different. The kid is a baller. A lot like Riley, he is unconventional, not that pretty, but gets it done. After USU nails a 43 yard FG to tie the game at 17 at the half an irritated Bronco gets interviewed as he walks off the field. Hopefully I can convince everyone that our game is actually on Friday this week and not tomorrowwe werent ready and thats disappointing. BYU has turned the ball over 3 times: Riley threw an ill-advised deep ball to Apo, he also threw another INT across the middle on a pass that was way behind Wilson and Quezada fumbled it at midfield setting up one USU score.

He must have done some magic at half-time because USU only gains 2 more first downs the entire game. In what proves to be the deciding drive Riley leads the team down early in the 3rd and rumbles into the endzone from 14 yards out to give the Cougs a 24-17 lead. He would later hit Apo in the endzone to add to the lead in the 4th.

BYU pulls away and wins 31-17.
