doesn't really look it. Actually, she's from a tribe that had some blond characteristics in South Carolina. But her father is fairly dark-skinned. So two of our four children have fairly dark skin. My son looks like he is Brazilian, IMO. He used to get a lot of comments from stupid kids trying to make him mad. He would have kids say he looks African-American. His skin color is dark enough to make people think he could be half African-American. His looks, however, look like me. I mean his facial features look like mine, just that he is a lot darker than I am. Personally, I think he is a very handsome kid. But he's had to deal with kids making comments intentionally to get him mad.
I don't know what to say about what we tell him about it. We're up front about it with him, but we've had to teach him to not let what other people say bother him so much.
