Yes I wanted to break up

And it was good as any other reason. I actually wanted to ask someone else to go "steady" and didn't want to do that until I had broken up with the first one. I also didn't know if the second girl would say yes and didn't want to reveal that to anyone either. The second girl was younger than me so it was the truth.

BTW - girl #2 did say yes, and I did end up going steady with girl #1 again at a later time...
