because other fan bases don't normally give 10% of their
income to the church/school right off the top.

the fact of the matter is that the budgets are set up the way they are because that's how "they" want them set up. BYU can write a check at ANYTIME for anything they really want.

the $100m recently invested into BYUtv is just one example.
