Wish I could find the post. There was evidence that BYU was trying to join major conferences years ago on their own. I wish I could find it, but it disproves this idea that BYU never would have left without Utah.
And this idea that their was a gentleman's agreement was ridiculous. That's like two guys working in an office together promising to stick together when a big company comes and offers one of them a promotion. It's a promotion that allows him to set his family up for life. It's ridiculous to think that any individual would turn that down.
